On March 2nd, Big Arse returns to Melbourne with fifteen new titles launching on the day - for the full list of books and creators saunter on over to Gary Chaloner's piece on the launch atThe Australian Comics Journal, go on I'll wait - at Sentido Funf from two in the pm.
Ryan and Emmet wanted to do their bit for the event, so here we have presented three interviews with Jason Franks, Matt Emery and James Andre, discussing their own work and their involvement in organising Big Arse, all stitched together for maximum spruikage.
We created this show to celebrate and communicate our love for comics produced in this part of the world, so an event of this sort with a focus on local talent and diverse content was something we had to support. After all these folks are going to be there on the day themselves, selling their work to the folks who walk under the threshold, as opposed to books shipped around the world heavily promoted by merchandising and media.
So get yourselves down to Sentido Funf, buy a beer, have a chat with the folks - and buy some books. It'll be well worth your time.
As always, drop us a line, let us know what you think of the show. Beardy And The Geek also has a Facebook page if you want to say hi. Check back in just over a week for our Liedekijn show.
